Having to plan a simplified backyard wedding during a pandemic really brought forward the details that truly matter the most about getting married.
Our vows to each other.
We knew we wanted to write our own vows, but instead of reading them from a sheet of paper (or worse, a phone!) we wanted to have our vows written in a beautiful keepsake that we can cherish forever.
I got these stunning vow books from Our Vows, a Canadian wedding invitation and stationary shop. The owner of the shop was wonderful and she was kind enough to make a custom order for me.
They were perfect. They were light, airy, delicately romantic and even the name of the ribbons were ‘Eucalyptus’ and ‘Sage’, which were the dominating greenery touches of our wedding flowers and decor.
Holding these intimate books in our hands, reciting handwritten vows to each other added a that touch of “forever”.
The words on these pages brought laughter, and tears. The words on these pages made witnesses feel the deepest form of human connection.
The deepest of them all: love in its purest state.
