September Snapshots

Does anyone else feel a shift during the month of September?

To me, the shift feels deeply internal, almost like a cosmic pull. September is my birth month, so maybe that’s when Virgo energy is in full frequency as the sun and moon live in its constellation.

Or maybe that’s just the magic of September. The slow start to Autumn. The shifts in wind, the amber colours appearing on trees, the slow dance of fallen leaves swaying in the air before it softly reaches the ground.

We have the urge to wrap ourselves in a blanket, yet we also have the urge to shed. Maybe we want to shed a part of us that has served its purpose and is ready for the next transition.

Outside, the Earth is saying, “Pick any colour you want“. She is telling us there’s so much beauty to discover, even as the air gets crisper.

At dusk, I notice more rows of windows lit up in soft yellow hues. Maybe that’s where we all sit to discover the hidden beauty within ourselves.

Perhaps that’s what the Autumnal shift is. The invitation to return inside our heart and soul.

As September comes to an end, I wanted to share my snapshots of what this month meant to me. I’m married, I’m a year older, and I am floating in a state of peace.

A state of continuous self-discovery.

  1. A wonderful post, Nahya! I was not born in September but relate to your feelings about this time of year. My favourite season is summer, though there’s something magical about the colours of autumn, which you captured so beautifully. Congratulations to you and your husband on your marriage, and best wishes for many years of happiness, good health and prosperity!

    1. Thank you so much for your message, Steve! 🙂 I’m happy to hear that this seasonal shift (internal and external) is something that resonated with you, too. Happy you enjoyed the shots, I’ll be posting more Fall colours as the season carries on! Thank you for your well wishes! 🙂
